The team, consisting of the Senior Producer, Creative Director, and me, was tasked with delivering final Discover stories under tight deadlines. After photoshoots and influencer interviews, I provided story drafts within 48 hours for feedback. To meet the deadline, I researched product descriptions, reviewed influencer interviews to highlight their voices, and selected pull quotes. I aligned the copy with the chosen photos, adhered to Nike’s tone and app character limits, and ensured the influencer voices were front and center, emphasizing Jordan Brand apparel and capturing the brand’s spirit.
Copywrote Nike Jordan in-app Discover Stories threads highlighting Jordan Flight Essentials, and streetwear style in Chicago — women and men — and Atlanta — women and men — and a women’s thread featuring LA street style.

Collaborating with the Investor Relations Specialist, Investor Relations Communications team, BSX editor, strategists, and senior product designer, I crafted a comprehensive communications strategy—from registration to day-of materials—ensuring an engaging experience for both audiences, including motion graphics and directional signage.
Partnering with the senior designer, I developed a registration website, event broadcast site, emails, internal communications, and on-site signage to ensure a seamless return to in-person events. Clear messaging emphasized the benefits of attending in person while distinguishing between in-person and virtual attendees.

Brookes' hired me to help write copy and direct a marketing campaign, streamline their brand story, and further develop their brand voice for their website copy. Brookes also utilized the copy for her social and newsletter marketing campaign to promote the launch of her new line of straw hats.
I updated the brand story and studio description for Brookes Boswell hats and her hand-blocking studio. Then, I dove into the straw hat process and the rich history and craft of toquilla straw artisans through research and interviewing Brookes—to write the introduction for her new Ecuador collection and a journal entry about Brookes’ travels to Ecuador.
I also help to create her customer email flows in klaviyo.

I joined the all-volunteer run event team in 2018 as a copywriter/editor. I copyedited workshop and event descriptions received from participating organizations for the DWP website, and co-created social amplification posts in real-time during the week of events.

I developed a story bank and communications toolkit to educate legislators on the benefits of home visiting programs and secure funding. To ensure accuracy, I researched home visiting programs and collaborated with program leaders across Oregon, gathering insights on their services, capacity, challenges, and needs to inform key decision-makers.
I conducted client interviews to craft emotionally compelling testimonials for an internal story bank and documented discussions with program directors to present actionable reports to policymakers. The communications toolkit included a media list, advocacy contacts, and customizable templates for social media and newsletters tailored to programs statewide.
Beyond my primary role, I facilitated the redesign of the Oregon Foster Youth Conference logo, hiring a freelance designer to modernize their branding.

During my brief time as a fellow on the communications team, I wrote articles and social media posts for national organizations, and built a nonprofit digital communications toolkit that included writing an article about Hurricane Sandy as Instagram’s watershed moment in 2012.
